Now that I've got your attention...

You gotta love the balls people have these days. This guy calls up, wants an e-mail deleted. You open up his account, he's got 150+ (11.2 MB!) messages, the vast majority of which are porn related. Very top one is 450K, & says "Male nude pictures." The e-mail he's concerned with deleting? An 11.8K e-mail that he thinks has a virus in it.

My God, doesn't he realize we see EVERYTHING when we go into his e-mail?

Heh, I was pretty much doing the samething one day...but this one is really wierd...an old lady "hotgrannyk", we'll call her, called up talking about email problems. I went and checked the account and found over 600 new messages, heh, the majority of the subjects were along the lines of "fist..", "k9 love", well, you get it. I asked if I could clear out her mailbox (thought she might have just been on the cruel end of a prnak) and If there was anything she absolutely needed..she said "all of it". I've never been so freaked out in my life.

he he, i was setting up the email for a co worker, and i wanted to make sure his emails where going out, so i emailed my hotmail account from his, well, when i open hotmail, the very first message was a new one with the subject: FREE CONDOMS, he he im sure he saw it, but ohh well, atleast he knows im practicing safe sex.

I'm surprised how many people don't know that admins have "god mode" where nothing is a secret. Not related to pron but one lazy bastard at work would print his one page emails to the color network copier because it was closer to him. Not only is it a waste of resources (1 page plus color cover sheet all on glossy paper) but it jams the queue for people with large print jobs. I revoked his privledges and he goes crying to my boss about my "abuse of power". My boss presented him with a complete log of his activities plus a copy of copier policy. My nichname since then has been "Big Brother"

Because I have a very close relationship with an ISP here in my little town, I get to hear all kinds of this stuff from their sysadmin. One story she told me was particularly funny.

One of their customers is an older gentlemen. REALLY older; somewhere in his late 80's. He calls one day complaining that his surfing had become very slow, and sometimes impossible. Since she was getting nowhere over the phone, the sysadmin told him to bring the puter in, and she'd have a go.

The problem? The cache and history hadn't been cleared forever, and it was just flat clogged. Clogged with what you might ask? Over 15,000 files related to a porn site. Not just any porn site, mind you. All to the same one.

Okay, you think, so the guy likes naked women. Don't we all? Well, yeah. But this site (I don't want to mention it, for fear the mod squad might smack me one), catered to men his age with pics of women his age; ONLY his age.

I had clear out a 148MB mailbox on our mail server last week. Even Elm wouldn`t open that baby up.

The luser had Outlook Express setup to "Leave a copy of messages on the server".

Yet, he wondered why his e-mail checking took longer and longer as time went on!

A friend of mine who runs a shop told me this one.

Remember that FAT16 limit of 512 files in the root? One guy was having problems and couldn't save any more files to his hard drive. It didn't take long to find that the root was full of hardcore photos and movies. My friend moved the files to a subdirectory, told the guy not to save files to the root, and didn't say one more word about it.

I think I told this story before, but I got an extremely irate customer. He was all pissed cause he couldn't get his mail. So I look into his mailbox to see how much mail he had. Turns out he had 300 messages, all with attacments. They were ALL gay personal ads and gay porn. I won't go into detail about what the subjects said, it was just dirty... I got outta there ASAP and told him he had too much mail, I never heard from that guy again...thank god
