Isn't that what "metrosexual" was all about, straight guys who wear make up and shave?

It's never been mainstream because it's impractical.

I have beard, and have had since the 90s when I grew old enough to have a beard at 15. But I have no make up other than if the woman I kiss happens to be wearing lipstick. That said, since I have a fiance, I do not kiss other women who have lipstick. But, maybe I could wear my own makeup/lipstick, and then I could kiss other women more and not get caught?

In any case, it seems like a lot of work, and I would rather just be honest with my fiance.

I assume you mean fiancee.

A fiance is a man.

Nope. I'm all about efficiency these days:

1. Skip the special "body soap" & just use a combination shampoo/conditioner with a loofa
2. Shaving gel & razor, no aftershave (your skin gets used to it)
3. Deodorant, no cologne outside of a special date or something

Makes the morning process 100% faster. Even though double standards exist for men & women, I'm soooo glad men don't wear makeup (generally) in America. Outside of Halloween, I don't think I've ever worn makeup.

Determined by sexual selection. If women preferred men to wear make up, then very quickly dudes will be all made up.

Since that hasn't happened - no reason to get all dolled up.

Some girls (note:not women) do prefer make up on boys (not men).

I don't remember wearing make up being a thing...

I remember thinking it wasn't a bad idea for a few cro-magnons that I know to take a weed whacker to their unibrows. But I don't recall mascara being part of the discussion.

Men that wear makeup are called women.
