Willkommen, Bienvenue, welcome!

This is the new stats-thread for MalariaControl.Net - a BOINC-project in beta and just now only 500 crunchers. Please visit the site for more info.

Here is more info about the project. Please observe, that the info on the bottom of the page is not accurate: the project is in beta now and not anymore in alpha!

The team name is TeAm AnandTech and here is the link to the stats @ MalariaControl.Net

Here is the server status page.

I'll put up the stats here anyhow, so that we all can see - without overloading the servers - what is going on.

This may become a small and short project - at least that is what is kind of indicated in the info. But it is very important. So lets crunch. If you are a member of Team Anandtech and a member of TAS I can provide you with the particulars for the [TA]-TAS-account and you can start crunching. If you are not a member of TAS yet please join here and then PM me for the account settings.

Oh, BTW, Spacehead: I'll take care of the MalariaControl.Net stats - no load on you!

Please do not despair about the difference in the RAC between the team's stats and the indicidual stats. This is a property of the way how RAC is calculated, and that takes some days (10 - 14 or even more) to get stabilized - especially now, then new members start crunching. As long as the total credits tally all is well.

Thanks for keeping up the stats, Peter. It's always fun to watch the crazy movement in stats on a new project.

I was actually in the top 40 overall for a little while, but unfortunately the two computers I have attached to the project at home haven't gotten any new Malaria work since Sunday so my numbers have been flat since then. The weird thing is that even when I do a manual update they won't ASK for work. (Client says "Not reporting results or requesting new work.") These two computers do have other projects attached but I'm getting this message on Malaria even when I suspend all other projects in the BOINC manager.

Hi rise - sorry for not seeing this post before now ...
I had a similar problem - it is a matter of the preferences: I set my values in "General preferences" and "Disk and memory usage" to:

"Use no more than" _ 10 GB disk space and
"Leave at least" ____ 0.01 GB disk space free

Then it worked perfectly OK. I think this is a bug in some kind of script ...

I hope this helps you ...

I finally got one of my computers to download some work so I'm at about 115 points pending as well.
