Im not sure how many power tool users visit this forum. But this deal is incredible. I just jumped on it.

I bought "Makita LS1013 Dual Slide Compound 10" Miter Saw Kit"
Tools & Hardware; $469.94

and 1 "Makita 6228DWLE 14.4-Volt 3/8" Cordless Driver/Drill Kit with Flashlight"
Tools & Hardware; $141.44.

Then I applied a discount code supplied by amazon and they immediately give you the drill for free. Last there is a mail in rebate for another guess what drill 9.6 volts, plus the drill is able to give out 200lbs of torque.

Normally i dont post here but it is a really really good deal.

Thank for you post. I'm not too sure how hot this is unless you're in need of the drill(s) which friend and I have plenty of already. Makita makes a nice mitre saw, chop saws, and radial-arm saws too, but these are really for the pro's and semi-pro's. ;)

I would love to have that miter saw however I know that buying it will ensure that all the little projects my waife wants done will have to done this spring and right now I have the excuse "I don't have the right tools"

It's a great deal considering Lowes wants $575 for the saw. I've got a "cheap" Craftsman 10" miter and it usually gets the job done. I'm not sure I'd use it enough to justify spending that much on a tool.

Well I was thinking you can sell the drills for at least 200.00. makita is good stuff. and now you have a sliding miter saw for 267 and its cheaper than anything else you can find than can cut dual bevel.

LAst update I got the makita slide fore 361.00. This is what they charged me when the miter saw shipped.

Item Subtotal: $469.94
Shipping & Handling: $5.00

Shipping Savings $-5.00
Super Saver Discount $0.00
Buy Makita get jigsaw $-108.72

Total: $361.22

Paid by Amex: $361.22

I canceled the free 14.4 drill since this item does not seem likely to ship anytime soon. YMMV. Last i am also still getting the 9.6 drill after rebate.

How'd you get the -$108.72?

I don't really need this saw but for $361 and 2 free drills I'd have to jump on this

Sorry its kind of hard to explain. I ordered the saw and added the bonus drill in the my shopping kart. The sliding miter saw has shipped but it seems the drill wont ship for a while. As soon as the miter saw shipped i recieved an email totaling 361.22 instead of 469.94. I think they might have been prorating the order and would most likely charge me the 108.00 after the makita drill shipped. Well, I decided to cancel the order on the drill and I was able to recieve the saw for 361.22. Go figure and it saves me the time and hassle of ebaying a 14.4 drill. I think 108 credit is fair.

So in my case i will still send in the rebate for the 9.6 drill that i will egay again.

Last the balde that comes with this saw is very nice. unlike bargain miter saws where the blade must be repalced with something for trim or cabinetry work.

Deal is dead...14.4v drill not included anymore. I was waiting for a deal to go through before I bought this. Looks like I'm too late. :(
