making tuna sandwiches

making tuna sandwiches:

have cans of chunk tuna in water

do i just add some mayo and stir and then put on bread? is there any other alternative? i prefer something that doesn't have to stay in the fridge after it's opened.

Tuna is hard to eat for me, so i really need to put a decent amount of mayo on it.

I mix the tuna and mayo in a bowl, spread it on some wheat bread, throw on a slice of cheese and lots of yellow mustard. Makes tuna delicious!

How do you not know how to make a basic tuna sandwich? 😕

Edit: That said, if all else fails, eat it straight from the can! And for fvcks sake, buy it in oil.

Uh, yea, use mayo. Or you can use that wanna-be bvllshit they call "mirace whip".

Is this your first time making tunafish?

Drain water from tuna > mix in bowl with a scoop or two of mayo > add a little chopped up celery and/or onion > more mixing > salt and pepper to taste > serve and eat as preferred. I recommend some toasted whole wheat bread, but use whatever you like. I reccomend that you mix with a fork, just makes things easier.

QFT.

Things I do alittle different tho:
I usually breakup the tuna with a fork before adding mayo (makes it easier once the mayo is added, imo). Also, I've never used celery and rarely use salt & pepper. But I always squeeze some lemon or lime juice into it.

I prefer the tuna chilled and on wheat bread (toasted or not).

It's also good on fresh cuban or french bread, with some lettuce and sliced tomato.

hmm every now and then a can of Tuna is great. I just drain the tuna (in water), add some mayo, salt & pepper. make some toast and eat! it makes a good cheap snack

Mayo + deli mustard + Tuna. Just mix in a bowl which breaks up the tuna in the process. I have a couple of zesty dill pickle slices on the side 🙂

Can of tuna
Lots of miracle whip/mayo/whatever you like
Squirt or 2 of mustard
a scoop of relish (if you like pickles)
a dash of tabasco sauce, or any other hot sauce

eat with crackers or on bread 🙂 yum yum

your worried about the mayo going bad sitting around but not the tuna fish?

Drain the water, I do this a couple times with rinsing to get rid of the fishy flavor. Add enough mayo to make you happy, then salt and pepper (I like emerils essence in tuna actually). You can add celery or chopped up sweet pickles.

Tuna salad, Astaroth33 style: 2 cans tuna in water, pepper, garlic powder, random spices (a chicken seasoning, actually), mayo, mustard, worchestershire sauce, Claussen dill pickles chopped up, all mixed together. On lettuce, just add italian dressing on top of all this.

well i can eat a can of tuna at a time... i went to the supermarket and see these 32oz jars of mayo and thought it'd take a month to finish the stuff...

but anyway, yeah i've never made my own tuna sandwich. chinese people don't really dig the coldcut stuff... but now i have to bring sandwiches to work because the microwave is gone.

thanks for all the suggestions. i was thinking maybe if ranch salad dressing would work too... guess not!

hehe, old bay...nice.

For me, I only eat canned tuna for protein snacks, so it's just tuna, mayo and some relish for me, on crackers.
