Making the first call always makes me a little nervous...

I met a girl this past weekend and I'm gonna call her for the first time tonight. I don't know why I always get nervous.

I <3 girls :)

update:

Well, I phoned just before 7:00 and got her voicemail. Left a message saying I would try calling again around 9:30. Called just before 9:30 and got voicemail again. This time left a message saying I had a good time with her on saturday and to call me back when she had a chance.

Oh well, we'll see what happens...

I always make a point of having sex with any girl I meet on the first night so that calling them later in the week becomes a no brainer.

That's a terrible rule. I phone when I am available to make a call. I was terribly hung over all of sunday and felt like crap. Today I feel good, so I'll call today, after 2 days.

That rule is really stupid IMHO. If you met this girl at a bar or club the odds that she was approached by many guys (if she's attractive) is very high. Unless you made a startling impression on her then she'll prob. have a vague and distant memory of you in 3 days. I always call the next day or even the same night with some playful texting. I want to be the last person they are thinking about before they go to sleep.

Different strokes for different folks. Personally, I make enough of an impression during the first meeting that I can afford to wait... string them along... then call right when they're going nuts wondering what they did wrong to keep me from calling. :p Works even if they ARE already taken. At least for me.

Well, according to one poster in that youtube video that tm37 posted (which made me cringe btw) is "No answer is an answer... " :)

No biggie though... I can't expect everyone to like me just because I liked them for an evening.

I've talked to many girls who say they will not return a first phone call no matter how much they might like a guy. Something along the lines of "If he gives up after one missed phone call, he's not worth my time" kinda thing.

Anyway, whatever happens, happens. If she liked me, she'll call back. If not, she wont. Life goes on :)
