Making the complete switch...

Tomorrow I will be making the complete switch to the dark side. I have already sold my Mac mini, and now my PC, which I built with my own two hands will be exchanging hands, and never to be seen again. And in both of their places will sit a brand new MacBook Pro. I am finally ridding of Windows completely except for the necessity of gaming. A 2GHz MBP for $1875 isn't half bad, now isn't it? Got to love discounts.

Although I'm not completely switching, I am trying to do the same and pickup a cheapo iBook to play around on.

Congrats, you won't be disappointed. The MBP's are very nice machines.

I currently own a dual 2.5 GHz G5, and couldn't be happier. I plan on getting the 17 inch MBP after reading some reviews to make sure all is good.

I'm sure that Macs are nice machines, but I see absolutely no reason to get one, given the overwhelming advantages PC's have in software and upgradeability.

Unless you need to run something that only is made for Macs, I find them useless at their prices.

After playing around with OS X on my Blue and White G3 I have come to the conclusion that it's not all that special after all. In fact, there are a lot of things about it that I find quite annoying. I wouldn't switch to OS X even if it were free.
