Making the Band 2 on MTV, these "rappers" are so ungrateful!

Puffy orders them buy him cheesecake, and there's nothing but nonstop bitching from them! I can't believe this, if it weren't for Puffy, they'd still be working fast food with their "rapping skills." Some people, sheeeshhhh, don't appreciate a damned thing!

This show illustrates pretty well the "hiphop mentality".
I give Puffy kudos to go down there and lecture those ungrateful fvcks.

Well you have to remember this is MTV...to make it intresting they have to include whiney people with big personality flaws, that way things stay heated. You swear puffy is really going to make a stupid "hiphop band" and try to make it real big.

I beg to differ. The "hip hop mentality" you speak of is WAY off. I actually take offense to it. Hip hop mentality is something you would not be able to comprehend by listening to the music, watching the videos, or observing people. The only way to really know hip hop mentality is to live hip hop.

These kids are spoiled because they already think they've made it. Sort of like Making The Band 1, the work has only just begun. These kids have yet to pay their dues, they need to STFU and do their thing, they're lucky they've even made it this far.

I think puff did the right thing. These little piss ants think they know everything and don't want to work for anything. Thats obvious at this point. If I was fronting all the money, I would want to make sure I'm not just flushing it all down the toilet. If I were puff I would tell them to quit fvcking around get down to business or get the hell out. What a bunch of ungrateful little pricks. :disgust:

i caught the last half of the episode...where they required to walk to junior's? why didn't they just take a friggin cab, or a train. i saw them walk from times square, then over the manhattan bridge...and then who knows how far juniors is from there....

and what exactly does "living hip hop" entail? saying YO YO YO, Bling Bling every 5 minutes, or wearing hand me down pants that are too big so you can wear them down to your gluteal fold so we all can see your boxers?

Language and style of clothing is just a part of it man. Just because that's all you see does not mean that's all it is. The kids you see are a product of commercialized, record-business owned, pimped hip-hop. That is far from the true essence of it. B-Boy Summit is this coming weekend in Los Angeles, that's where the true embodiment of hip-hop will be. Hip-hop is community, love, and self-expression, don't get it twisted by how corporate America pimps the culture to sell product.

I think we have a different connotation of the term hiphop, I should refrain from using it in a stereotyping sense.
Obviously, there are many good attributes coming from hiphop, or any other cultures.
What I am saying is, there are a lot of people do nothing but practice on their "rapping" and hope one day they can make it big. Unfortunately, life doesn't work out so nicely. When these people are stuck in the mediocre living condition, they don't have the drive to improve but just continue dreaming of hitting it big.
Let me quote this guy from ESPN's Streetball, he says he wants to show the world that he is not just a basketball player, he can also sing. I am glad he has the talents, but they are impractical unless he gets into the NBA or the mainstream media.
