Wilted spinach sautee, mashed potatos with carmelized onions and a nice Cabernet or Red Zinfandel should pretty much fit the bill. :D
Interesting. Sounds like some nice champagne/sparkling wine would go nicely with that combo.

A couple of nice alternative would be fresh white corn on the cob or ratatouile, if you're into that.
Mmmmm.....maybe. It'd have to be a pretty "big" white wine to work with something as heavy as a steak. I'll usually opt for a heavy red (Cab, Zin, or Amarone) with steak since they overpower most foods and you don't get to drink them that often (since I don't eat steak all that often). ;)

somebody got a lot of top wine tasters together, blind folded them, and asked them to say if the wine they were drinking was white or red and they couldn't do it
Um.....right.

Venison tenderloin... mmmmmm.

Its sort of like saying "steak, with a side of steak", but the side of steak has a different flavor to it while still being in the same general category as beef steak

don't fry them! broil them...
some prawns, sauted in butter and garlic with a little lemon, baked potatos with the works,
steam some fresh asparagus, tossed garden salad, and some french/garlic bread.

A1. Its the best ever!

But there are a lot of sides you can add. Eggs, potatoes, sauteed mushrooms and onions, broccoli, creamed spinach, creamed corn...etc
