Hey guys,

I want to make phone calls over my DSL connection, however, I wish to use an internal device like this or an external device like this so I can use my cordless phone instead of one of those computer handsets. Anyone know of any other products like this or the cheapest place to obtain one of the above mentioned?

Dunno exactly what you are trying to accomplish, but there are voice clients available that allow real-time chat for free over the internet as long as both parties have an internet connection.

There is a post over in Hot Deals for a home phone service (dial tone service) including long distance that works over brodband, worth checking out.

Yea, i've actually looked into that service and found it's cheaper if I go with a pay per minute service, like Yahoo! or net2phone. I call a lot to the east coast (i'm on the west coast), but my monthly volume will vary, so I'm just looking for a device that will allow me to use my standard cordless telephone with a service like net2phone.

Thanks anyway,
g.

Buy.com has the internal PCI card version of the Actiontec Internet Phone Wizard (Item#: SW4EHC) for $32.53.
Computers4sure has this for $34.95.
TigerDirect has the same item for $39.99, and also the external USB version for $49.99.
