Well techically its an upgrade since im using a few of my old systems components, but here it is.
Im real short on cash and need it for gaming/performance and im gonna be oc'ing it!
Please give me suggestions or detailed comments!

Asus A7N8X Deluxe
AMD Athlon xp 2500+ barton
2x Corsair XMS 3200 256 sticks
Antec 380w PS
Seagate 120gig SATA 7200 Barracuda
Thermalright Sk-7
Thermaltake smartcase fan2

i can get all that at newegg for under 500, considering some of these are not in stock yet and 1 is refurbished

will be keeping from current comp:
enermax case
52x cd-rom
16x Plextor cd-r
Gainward GF3 Ti200 128(not worth upgrading right now)

whadaya think?

I just upgraded my system on a tight budget as well. I also had about $500 to spend and used some of my old parts. But one thing different from yours was I needed 1GB RAM (Everquest is such a memory hog), so I had to cut corners a bit.

What I did was go with the Epox 8RDA+ motherboard, which is about $40 less than the Asus A7N8X Deluxe.

I also picked up a Western Digital 120GB 7200RPM 8MB cache hard drive for $79 (there have been a number of deals lately on hard drives at retail stores like Best Buy, Staples, and Office Max). Saved me another $40 or $50 there.

With those savings, I was able to afford the 2 sticks of Corsair XMS3200 512MB.

But the parts you've chosen look good - can't go wrong with your selections.
