What in the heck do you guys use to drill through these things? I'm trying to convert an old P166 and an old P90. I've tried several different bits and I'm not making much progress.
I've been meaning to post a question about this myself. I have a P133 here that I'd like to make a keychain out of. Just been too lazy to make the thread myself. Free bump for ya, even though this was still in the top 20 threads when I found it
my dad works in a machining factory, and he says that diamond tipped bits are like 150 bucks!!! damn!! he thinks hes got some at work though, so he can do it for me, go me
I desoldered a socket 8 socket from a Shuttle HOT 613 mainboard and made a belt buckle out of it. I put a 166 MHz 512 K Pentium Pro Processor in the socket as well. Talk about a conversation piece!
for those soldering, where are the solder points?... the top of most processors are ceramic except for the core/heat spreader, the back is a multitude of pins?... is the best way a loop from the corner of the core to a small group of pins?
