Making DVD of Graphic Images to Display on TV

I'm making some graphics in photoshop to display on a TV where I work.

The images will have instructions for certain events held there and some will just be standard background images with the company logo. I want to make each image it's own track # on the DVD so I can go to each of them and select them.

If I make an actual video I would need them to loop themselves without the input from the DVD player itself if that makes sense. The other option is just put static images on each track if that's even possible and pause them when they start playing.

I have Nero Burning Rom 6 on my PC.
I have a year old IMac as well that has IMovie and IDvd with it.

Any suggestions or pointers? I have experience in photoshop but am a noob when it comes to video. I've never actually "produced a video" before.

why not use powerpoint and if needed convert it to a video with a converter

other than that you are going to have to use some software such as Premier Pro which will easily create what you want.

The Powerpoint idea works. Been there, done that. Also, use any slideshow creation in Nero or whatever. That can create different formats- A video DVD or CD or a digital slide show. The DVD plays on regular HE systems, but is lower res than a standard slideshow. Some slide shows allow titles, background music, and the "Ken Burns" effect.

As for continuous play or looping, the player can do that for you.

most dvd/blu-ray players have a 'slide-show mode' to play pictures on a disc

might want to investigate the ones you have lying around to see if they'll let you manually navigate the pics

I ended up using a high def media player to do this kind of thing. Some are really cheap. Much easier to use than having to burn a dvd whenever you want to change the pictures.

You also put the show on a thumb drive - much more flexible than a optical disk.

see if the dvd player at work supports slideshow with custom settings.
That way you may just need to put the images (as files) on the dvd instead of bothering with creating videos.

Another possibility would be to attach a cheap netbook or an unusued computer to the TV and looping it with some software, maybe you have some lying around at work.
