Is baseball boring as hell?

  • No doubt about it

  • Baseball is great as it is!

needs boobs. Baseball would be fun with boobs.

IT already has Prince Fielder. What more do you want.

Oh, you meant lady boobs, not man boobs. My bad.

Baseball is entertaining as is, you just have to like (and pay attention to) the little details. They aren't as exciting as the hits in football, but there is a lot to enjoy if you are into strategy.

Are they really considering lowering the mound? That's bull if true.
Nobody has said that, but strikeouts have been trending up in the past few years and baseball has generally tweaked things in the past to keep the in a more ideal range. Maybe they'll just mess with the ball behind the scenes, who knows.

I love baseball so much but the limited use of instant replay + the # of bad calls just irks me.
My coworker always tells me that they should allow the batter to keep the bat while running the bases to make it more exciting lol.

Pitch clock
DH in the national league - maybe this would cut down on pitching changes a bit
Instant replay/challenge for out/safe calls

Watching Fielder swing the bat with that belly is so mesmerizing.

I dunno. I've always been a Rangers fan (AL) but I kinda like making the pitchers hit. Requires a lot more strategy working around that

Pitch clock would be great, put 40 seconds on the clock right after the play ball sign from the ump. If the batter is not in the box too bad the pitch will be called whatever it is strike or ball. If the pitcher does not throw in time, automatic called Ball on the pitch and the next pitch clock automatically starts. Also the clock starts again immediately after the called strike or ball. Also the batter cannot call a timeout to reset themselves. Pitcher and batter just need to be ready when the clock starts and nothing stops the clock.

Also change to instant replay. Plus eliminate coaches arguing calls with umps. Here is how I would implement replay in baseball. Each team gets two challanges. The coach cannot argue any call unless he throws the flag to get the challange. The coach can't argue it, it just goes to the booth for the review. This will eliminate the long crappy delays when coaches argue crap and waste time to give their pitchers a time out.

yeah limit time spent/wasted by either the pitcher or the batter between throws. That would speed it up dramatically. Also limit the number of pitcher subs. I don't want a reliever change for every batter. Also institute an overall game time limit. No more 4 hr games between Yankees and the BoSox on ESPN on Sunday nights. Who can watch a sporting event for 4 hrs?!?

I personally like the arguments. I say there should be a minimum of 1 bench clearing brawl per series

A true fan?

So you want all the startegy taken out of the game? Managers have to know how well certain batters are against right and left handed pitchers and make those changes according to the numbers. I like that Managers have to know what their players can do and use strategy.

Watching baseball on TV is a total snoozefest but going to the games is a lot of fun.

I vote leave it as it is. If you hate it then do what I do... don't watch it.

My biggest problem is teams like Yankees buying up all the players but that is whole different problem then the one you describe.

To make it more entertaining let the pitcher and the hitter come out with mics attached to each other and talk smack. Ya it would turn it into WWE but there is a reason the WWE is the most popular show on cable. I would guarantee you people would tune in to see the best smack talkers even watch teams that don't play in their hometown but that will never happen.

SF Giants forever baby! I grew up in SF, loved going to candle stick and oakland coliseum for games. Would not change anything!

This doesn't win chamionships anymore. Look at the biggest spenders the last few years and see how many they have won. Plus the Yankees haven't been able to buy any big new talent because they paid too much for their crappy old players and are now stuck with them.

I don't give a crap about winning championships any more in baseball I just want to finish over .500. The Yankees are in it year in and year out at lease you got hope the rest of us slobs got nothing.
