Making an OS disk?

I downloaded an OS as an .iso file, now how do I make it into a disk so I can install it to a blank hard drive?

burn it to a CD-R with your favorite burning software. Nero works for me.

I'll assume it's windows XP for the purposes of this post.
You'll need the boot image; see the section of this page on making the CD bootable.

You need to instruct Nero to make a bootable disc.

if its a iso just launch nero and say burn image. That should be it.
