making a new system and ive run into a speedbump

so i put it all together psu cpu ram hd video card, plug it in and it powers up fine, lights go on, fans spin, im not getting anything on my monitor and no power on the mouse/keyboard, anyone know what this could be?

Please list component details.
Does your GPU require a second power connection?
Have you tried a minimal install with the MB outside the box?
You need to give some details to work with. BTW, welcome.

Try just one stick of ram and make sure the 6 pin power supply is plugged into your GPU.

it was the ram, who knew? i appreciate the help magnus... loading xp onto it now

You're welcome. Try running memtest86 to test for ram errors and system stability.
