a friend of mines recent had his car broken into and only thing was stolen was his navi disc.

i never thought anyone would do such things but in light of this i would like to make a copy of my dvd disc so i have one at home incase this happens.

i own a g35x, from my understand this is a DVD-ROM DL. people on the forum told me something about chapters/bookmarks and etc. making it a little harder to copy.

i have a DL burner, now i'm just going to pick up a couple dvd-R- DL and try.

which program would be ideal for this? i have poweriso, dvd decypter on the computer now.

Try any of them. Just do a disk copy. If you get a copyright error there might be a way around that.

If your copy does go through just try it in the car and see what happens. I'm sure the NAV system will reject it if it's not a valid copy.

Simple...
Order a replacement disk from the manufacturer based on the cars VIN.
Possibly check junk yards for disk from the same car.
