A Yahoo! Business report of available areas, from 10/21

In addition to the new FiOS marketing efforts in the West and South, new
Verizon FTTP deployment work is under way in:
* Parts of Riverside, Orange and San Bernardino counties in California
* Parts of Delaware
* Parts of Hillsborough and Pasco counties in Florida
* Parts of Montgomery County in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area
in Maryland
* Parts of Essex and Middlesex counties in Massachusetts
* Parts of Nassau, Rockland and Westchester counties in New York
* Parts of Bucks and Chester counties in Pennsylvania
* Parts of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex in Texas
* Parts of Arlington, Fairfax and Loudoun counties, as well as the
communities of Falls Church, Leesburg and Herndon in Virginia

Hillsborough County, oh hellz yeah. I'm getting off this frame relay 756K DSL and jumping to the 15 Mbps of flava.

Wow, 15Mbps is NICE if there's a guaranteed minimum.. No point in having 15Mbps and the whole neighborhood on it and only have average throughput to be only 100kbps.

Has anybody gotten the check for service working?

I've seen some trucks in our neighborhood over the past week, they're laying some heavy black cables. Man, I hope it's fiber.

WHOA. This is only $5/mo. more than OOL at 10Mbps/1Mbps... and they friggin monitor your usage. I'm so getting my company to pay for this.

EDIT>>> I went through the "do I qualify" thing and it eventually brought me to a page for Verizon Online DSL. It had nothing to do with FIOS. :|

You probably tried DSL that provided 15KBps up ... we're talking 2Mbps up here !
