make your hair thicker??

Is there anything i can use to make my hair thicker? I have a full head of hair but it seems like my hair has been breaking much more easily. Are any vitamins or shampoo helpful for better hair???

I'm no professional stylist but I use Paul Mitchell shampoo. Seems to do the trick, there's probably better out there though.

I use Pantene shampoo and conditioner.. but I wouldn't know if it makes your hair thicker because my hair is stick to begin with plus I've been using the stuff for years. I'd like to make my hair thinner though, since it's almost as long as the hippie avatar's, and much thicker.

i got medium hair so i'm not too sure, but you could try a styling gel, i've seen some that claim thicher hair. i only use LA Looks mega hold stuff for when i go out and it seems to make it thicker. mine says "with hair strengthening compound".

"Nioxin" is a proffessional shampoo that you can buy at a salon. It is designed to promote new hair growth. Check out nioxin website Hope this helps you out!

That's what I use. They also have a hair thickening treatment you can buy which I used at one point.

It's pretty damn expensive for shampoo, though.

did it work for you?
EDIT: how much was it?

i'm gonna get HairClub for Men or that Bosley hair transplant soon...
i figure spending $$ on these hair treatments over 1-2years would prolly not give me
as much bang for buck than actual hair growth

I drink, smoke and have a so, so diet and my damn hair keeps growing too fast and too thick. So, if you don't smoke, start. If you don't drink, start. If you eat all the right things, quit and start living off of fast food.

i think thats heredity, my friend. although the benifits of drinking and smoking are undeniable!

I hate to say it, but Nioxin is snake oil.

i'm afraid amused is right. i've been using the whole "intensive" treatment (shampoo, conditioner, that tiny bottle of liquid & the foam) for about 3 months religously, and there's been no difference. unfortunately, what you (aumm) are describing sounds like the beginning of baldness. go to a dermatologist now, and see if you should start taking propecia, rogaine, xandrox, etc. it's good that you're catching it early.

i really dont think its the beginning of baldness, i have a digestive problem that makes me not absorb as much nutrients as i should, it comes and goes and i can notice when my hair starts breaking easily/getting thin and usually it goes away in a couple weeks, im just looking for something to help strenghten my hair.

i got hair thickener in my bathroom... you could find it at drug stores or salons

what do you use and do you notice a difference?
