are there any cheap wireless routers that would allow me to make a connection off another wireless router and use it like a switch, without having to buy a seperate switch and plugging in an ethernet bridge

You need to look for a Wireless Router that can be configured as a Client.

Cheap?

Some of the Belkin 802.11g models can do it, that is as cheap as it gets.

Otherwise read the following links and figure out what is the best for you.

If you want to Extend Wireless Coverage using a second Router May be this can Help.
