Make Windows XP see External HDD as Flash Drive?

I have a program that can load MP3s and make a voice index for them for my Kenwood Head Unit. It seems only to work with Flash Drives, and it will not recognize my External HDD.

I know the External HDD will work with the Head Unit, but I need the software to recognize it. I assume if I can have windows see it as a 20GB Flash Drive instead of a HDD, it probably should.

Is there a way to do this? I assume there is...

Please help me! I'd really appreciate it!!

Are you flash drives formatted as fat32? If so, maybe the software does not recognize ntfs, if that is on the hd.

I think it being formatted as NTFS is the issue. I will have to try further later.

And I am using MP3 as a generic term for compressed files. I can do almost any format.

I am not an audio snob however, and lossless takes up way to much space and my penis is big enough so I don't need to go that route to prove anything :).

Thx.
