Make windows 7 have a loading bar

So one of the things I hate about W7 is that there is no way for me to tell the OS is loading. On startup it shows the 4 colors and says "starting Windows" but I want a normal loaading bar so I can tell if the startup failed or not. How do I do this?

I've never had Windows 7 take more than about 30 seconds to load, even on a very old computer. So if it goes more than a minute I'd say you probably have a problem. The "loading" bar in XP really wasn't a diagnostic tool. It was just there to make people think it was busy, and I've seen computers lock up completely during the loading process but the "loading" bar was still happily scrolling across the bottom of the screen.

You can see when the drivers being loaded using System Configuration-->Boot, choose OS Boot Information.

It makes the boot about three times longer for my Windows 7 Home Premium setup.
