Edit: Problem Solved thx to Tabbrowser extensions and Igowerf /cheer

I'm bad at new things, but i do love the control Firefox gives. problem is that it is quite bulky compared to MyIE2's smooth interface. downside of MyIE2? it uses IE... ok so anyways, if you could point me to plugins that would do the following it would be much appreciated:

1. The ability to move my tabs around. for example i load my email, my fav forum, then my bank info on seperate tabs... not i want to make my bank info so the tab is next to my email tab. sounds silly, but i can't stand not having my tabs in a specific order and having to open them in a specific order its more work than its worth. (btw if there is a way to do this with the WinXP taskbar i'd be very very interested in that information, i hate not being able to rearrange my tabs and having to open programs in a specific order).
2. The ability to double click a tab to close it... why its not like this in Firefox i have no idea.
3. Tell Firefox to never ever ever ever ever ever open another browser window, only new tabs. MyIE2 is able to tell which links goto new tabs and which should stay in the same tab, why can't Firefox?

thats about it for gripes... they may seem minor, but i just can't use Firefox without those things. also if anyone can recommend any other good plugins for Firefox or point me to a website with a nice big list of them (with descriptions and maybe some user comments?) it would be much appreciated :D

1. That's a good idea. There are probably extensions that enable this?

2. Use your middle mouse button to close tabs.

3. See #2. If you middle-click on a link, it'll open in a tab. I'm 100% positive that there is an extension that allow you to open everything in tabs too! :)

1. Open the pages in the order you want, then go to Bookmarks > Add to Bookmarks. Select Bookmark all tabs in a folder. Then when you open that folder, the option at the bottom of the list will be Open in Tabs. Select that and all of the bookmarks in that folder will open - in the order they're listed.

2. Right click on the folder, then close tab. It's still only 2 clicks.

3. Dunno about that one. Request it on their Firefox website.... Again, if you want it to only open a new tab, just right-click, then open in new tab... Not "bulky" after you get used to it. (I've gotten used to it, and now find myself trying to do that on the rare occasion I have IE open...)

wow, ty for the quick replies :) problem #2 is no longer a problem /cheer, middle click button solves that (hehe yes i am that lazy that extra clicks and mouse movements bother me). problem #3 is mostly fixed with using the middle click on links, but i still find that Firefox wants to open new windows like IE from time to time depending on the site, i'll for sure put a request in and see what happens. in MyIE2 there is a option 'Don't allow more than 1 instance of MyIE2' which keeps it from opening another window, and then by default opens that in a new tab. OZEE your solution for problem #1 kinda works for me, but there aren't a set number of sites i like to open. sometimes have upto 10 tabs going and i like to move them around so that they are organized for my brain, like my emails are always on the left followed by 2 forums then my bank then an whatever i'm looking up and sometimes i need to move those extra windows around to the order i like. same thing for the windows taskbar, when i alt tab around i like to have it a particular order and also so when i see i can just move to the spot i know the program will be... i do the open in order thing every time, and i'm always having to close and open things to get them in the order i like /annoying.

again ty for the input, i'm slowly trying to move over as Mozilla is just a superior program... but i'm almost willing to have the vunerabilities and annoying internet goodies just to have things like i like them
