Fake or Not?

I came across this company today on-line. No, I found it on my own and have briefly tried to find out more about the matter. Yes, I still got the $40 and my gut feelings is it to good to be true.

Anyone know about this opprtunity? It really not a true hot deal. However, if it is legit, one might a few easy dollars.

Personally, I'm always suspicious of domains that have you e-mail them at aol or somewhere else. If this were a truely modern internet company, don't you think they'd be running a mail server? Also, it says they've been around since 1997, but their record was created late in 2000. Lastly, they listed a partial phone number in their domain registration.

If they are legit, I'll probably try.

Sounds to me like its too good to be true, but who knows. If it is real then it is a hot deal. The only other place I have completed surveys online was greenpoints and all I got from then was a $5 gc for Burger King.

"Welcome to Money4Opinions (M4O, Inc.) official website. M4O was founded in 1997" If they were founded then then why was their domain registerd in 2000?

Here is an aerial photo of their address. Can't tell what kind of building it is though. Anyone live near there?

a company created in 1997 doesn't necessarily put themselves online at the same time. maybe they didn't have enough revenue or decided to expand online in 2000.

anyways, if anyone has signed up for this and is starting to get some revenue, please let us know how it's going. potentially hot deal.

M4O was founded in 1997 as a Virtual Internet Marketing Research Agency specializing in recruiting individuals from all over the United States, from all walks-of-life, to participate in highly paid survey opportunities with over 150 of the most elite Internet Marketing Research Companies available today.

Umm...most Internet Marketing Companies probably get a domain name pretty early on in their history...

Did anyone notice that they want you to pay $39.95 to get your "username" and "password" ? Definitely sounds like a scam.

Where M40 is Looking For Victims

This is not the first company that I have came across that go to on-line job sites to help people. It a shame that this company targets are unemployed individuals who made need to pay bills and feed their family.

It looks like they posted to every market that is listed.

>>>Did anyone notice that they want you to pay $39.95<<<

Any company of this type that requires you to pay them money before they allegedly pay you money is almost certainly a scam. I highly recommended this program to people that have *SUCKER* tattooed on their foreheads; anyone else should stay away.

>>>Look at their paypal status here.<<<

That only reflects the number of aforementioned suckers that have sent money TO this company...it says nothing about whether this company has paid out any money. So all we know is that they have taken in over $40,000.00. On the plus side, they have been around 15 months - if there was a way to verify what they have paid out during that time, it might be worth looking into.

I have taken part in legimate surveys . . . and generally have been paid in GCs.

If they do not require money or cc #s from you, do not ask really personal questions, it MAY be OK . . . however, this company has "FISHY" written all over it:

<< Simply follow the directions on the Sign Up Page by paying the one-time $39.95 M4O Membership fee to obtain your Username and Password which will allow you full and unlimited access to M4O?s Members Area. >>

It looks like a scam . . . legitimate companies do NOT ask from money from you to "participate" in their surveys.

Who is going to be the first "sucker" to sign up for this?

:D

Hi All,

I wouldn't give these asses the time of day. I have taken part in many legitimate product testing and surveys before and never has anyone asked me to pay them a dime. These guys stink of fruad.

I work near there, in Culver City. We sometimes hit that area for lunch - maybe I'll look for this place next time we're down there ;)
