i posted this at FW, people liked it..so i tohught i'd post it here as well...:)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STOP: I was wondering for a long time as to whether to post this for these 2 reasons:
(a) I think I will get flamed for it
and if not (a), then
(b) the possibility for deals of this kind will decrease with more people "abusing" it
If you want to YELL at me or tell me this deal sucks - great for you, go somewhere
else, I already made more than $3,500 with it!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Before I get started, there is a SLIGHT chance for you to lose money, but you got same
kind of chance with a Mail In Rebate! Also, please read the entire thread, and then ask
me questions!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi,
please read the disclaimers at the top first.
That being said, here is the simple layout for this deal:
Casino's offer promotions for you to become a customer with them.
What this means is, for example, you deposit $100 and they give you $75 for free.
However, you CANNOT just take those $175 and cash them out,
but you have to wager them first.
Will the casino rip me off with my wagers? Probably not if you follow my FAQ
further down!
The way it weorks, usually you have to wager your Deposit and the Bonus a Total
of 3 times (so in my example $175 * 3 = $525)
The casinos (at least most of them, see the FAQ further down)
have Random Number Generators, in this case they can't manually adjust their
machine to get you to lose money. My personal preference are Mircogaming
casinos (Microgaming being a company that manufactures the casino software,
they do NOT have their own casinos)

So how do I make money with this???
Ok, so let's get started, you register at a casi no, deposit your $100
and then start to play Blackjack in the SMALLEST DENOMINATION
up to the minimum amount required to cash out the money.
Usually the payout is somewhere around 98%, especially in Blackjack
where you have relatively good odds against the house.
So let's say you have $175 * 95% (which is very low) = $166.25
which then gives you $66 as a check in the mail for about 1 hour of "work"

FAQs:
-------------------------------------------------------------------\
Q: Is there a way I can lose money?
A: Yes, there is. If you have terrible bad luck (and once again,
the casinos have random number generators for the cards), maybe you will
only have $95 left of your initial investment. This, however is VERY unlikely.
As for myself, it happened to me twice out of about 45 casinos where I did this.
--------------
Q: So if I could lose money, there is a chance of me to make a lot of $$$?
A: Yes, but that's NOT what this deal is about!
Do NOT (NOT NOT NOT) make high bests! If you do this, you might make a lot
but you could potentially lose a lot as well.
--------------
Q: How do I get paid?
A: The casinos will refund you your original purchase back on your credit card.
Everything else will be sent as a check.
--------------
Q: What casinos are safe to use?
A: I like to use Microgaming casinos, especially casinos with
PCS (Pro Cyber Services) as the payment provider.
I have NEVER been ripped off by any casino.
--------------
Q: Any other recommendations before I get started?
A: Yes....be careful what you do...do NOT use some no-name casino,
but go with the well-known places. Thsi especially insures your
Credit card safety (and if you use PCS, your credit card
will never be given to the casinos anyway)

If you have any questions, or if you need some links to some casinos, let me
know. Once again, if this deal does not interest you, please flame elsewhere. I did
it and it DOES work...! (You are a so-called Promotional Hopper...)

This thread will be locked or deleted for the following reason. Sorry.

From the Hot Deals Forum Rules.

...

No links to gaming sites, tobacco products or pornographic or sexually explicit materials.

I realize you didn't include any links but I don't think that'll matter.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll probably search around on my own, but listing a few of the online casinos offering such deals would be helpful(that is allowed right?).

If you're sure your place of employment doesn't track web use, this is a great way to make more money at work. :D

Not a technical bargain, but very interesting. I don't think it should be locked - the topic is gambling related but I see no LINKS

I did this years ago, and I made some money off of it, and had some fun. But now I wouldn't touch it -- no one wants to give away money for free, and gambling companies aren't any different! Now, you typically have to wager 12-20 times the initial deposit (i.e. $50 bonus on $50 deposit = $2000 in bets!); they often exclude craps and sometimes blackjack. Some casinos even say that you can't withdraw unless you've reached a certain goal, i.e. with a $100 bonus, you can't withdraw until you have won $700 in addition.

In short, Gambling is risky, in case any of you didn't know it already. I consider gambling to be an expensive form of entertainment, and I advocate it as such to anyone who asks, but anyone who wants to make money off of it is digging for treasure in their neighbor's lawn. :p

If that were entirely true, then you wouldnt have those threads that read "hot deal, make $10 after MIR"

The man is right... however, almost all casinos changed their wagering requirements (similar to what Sensor said) in March of 2001. I made some good money up until then though.

PM me for a list of casinos with a total of 50% bonus, and only 3 times wagering requirement....:)

Random number generators? Uh, OK.

Online casino games are not accurate representations of the real table games. They are computer games, programmed just like slot machines and video poker....there is a set payout percentage. The casino operators can set the software to pay out whatever percentage they want. If someone wins $1000 playing blackjack, the players that come after him may find it impossible to win.

Just a heads up. While it's possible to win money, and many people do ( I cashed out over 2k from a place once) I think you'll find yourself felling ripped off when its all said and done. I'll say it again. The games are not what you think they are.

One more thing I thought everyone should know...

Ever see banners for various online casinos? The sites hosting those ads make a percentage of everyone's losses. Isn't that great? The webmasters do their best to get people to go to these casinos and click on their ads. Then, once they get there, they get ripped off by the casino and the affiliate program kicks back some of their losses.

Be very careful sending your money offshore to these people. You have been warned.

It used to be that any old joe could do this.
However, now the deals are hard to come by and UNLESS you have a large enough bankroll to spread out a lot of deposits over a lot of casinos, the odds are now against you if you're going to try it at just a few. I made approximately $3,500 within 2-3 months worth of spare time. But then the deals dried up... just like the deals on anandtech or any other "hot deal" forum.

Just to give the newbies a taste of what online casinos used to be:

In the old days, it was common for promotions to give 20% match on your deposit and only require that you bet the MATCH. So, you'd put up $1000 for the maximum match ($200), and only have to bet $200 once (none of your own money). Before things tightened up, you could go to the roulette table and put 100 on red, and 100 on black (or put a little on 00 to cover yourself). You'd make your $200 on one bet, and cash out. Simple as that and no risk to your original $1000. Savvy people used multiple credit cards and made $600+ in one promotion. It was a beautiful thing and I made lots of $$$. Nowadays, it's just not worth my time. The matches are smaller, the betting requirements are huge and you can actually LOSE your OWN money.

And the best part is: When the offshore casino screws you and refuses to pay you, you can't complain to the authorities, because there are no laws to protect you and it's illegal in most states to receive proceeds from an online casino. Awesome!

Also, a growing number of credit card companies have just signed on to an agreement from a coalition of state attorneys general to to ban the use of their cards for online gambling.

You're right, this seems *ALMOST* guaranteed!

1) Most credit cards won't work anymore (from US)
2) Some online casino software "cheats"
3) Some online casinos will steal your money
4) Some online casinos will ban you if you win too much money
5) You must have lots of disposable money before trying online casinos
6) Almost all casinos require personal documents faxed to them
7) There are some US states that won't allow gambling online
8) You'll spend as much time on the phone trying to get your money as you did playing
9) Unless you play "perfect strategy" you're wasting your time gambling
10) Your personal information is sometimes shared between casinos

Think twice before taking this road
