CDR50 shows online for $14.99 and has a $10 rebate and a $15 rebate and free shipping through 07/06.

RonR pointed this out here but no one seemed to pick up on it.

Both online rebate forms require copies of the receipt and upc. One is good for purchases through 07/06 and one for purchases through 12/31/02. They have different program numbers and go to different box numbers.

I don't know about the quality of these and, frankly, for my purposes, I don't care.

Shows for me as direct ship only after I add it to cart.

These are available in-store with the same two rebates but the price there is $24.99.

It was in stock for me at 1:15PM EDT. Got the email confirmation. Another board indicates that it has gone OOS and back in again earlier this week, so maybe it will be back again. Worth checking on.

so where do you find 2 UPCs?

You only need a copy of the receipt and a copy of the upc for each rebate.

Went to my local B&M CC armed with a print out of the web page showing the price of the CDR50 as $14.99 . Even though it shows OOS on line.
They had a stack of them at the register with the price marked $24.99 less the rebate.
Showed them the print out and after a little confusion they adjusted the price to $14.99 and both rebates printed out.
What a deal, on the way out they were handing out free USA FLAGS for the holiday.
Now thats the American way, free CDR's free flag and ten bucks for your trouble.:D

As Yakov Smirnoff would say "What a country!"

I went to the front registers, which is next to the CS counter. But they never asked any manager just the two cashier's concurred on the price adjustment.

I tried buying this with the printout of the website price. The clerk adjusted the price, but only gave me the $15 rebate! He tore up the $10 one, and when I asked for it, he said he couldn't give it to me due to store policy or some other schpeel. I can't complain... I mean it's still free, but is there any way to make the $10 on this? Can I use the rebates from the website? or are those only for online purchases?

Worst case scenario: 50 free CDR's :)

Best case scenario: 50 free CDR's and $10 in my pocket :D  ;)

I don't know if the web forms are designed only for use online but I have used them for online purchases, online orders to be picked up in-store and in-store purchases and have gotten all the rebates. Go for it!

I think you can use the online MIR form, or you can go back to CC with your original receipt and ask one of the sales to print it out for you from the register......

Scored one today.....the sales unwillingly give me the price adjustment and the TWO MIR......:)

Thanks for the info allisolm, I'll be sure to use the online rebates. For those of you who are curious, here is what I got from CDR Identifier:

ATIP: 97m 32s 19f
Disc Manufacturer: Prodisc Technology Inc.
Reflective layer: Dye (Short strategy; e.g. Phthalocyanine)
Media type: CD-Recordable
Recording Speeds: min. unknown - max. unknown
nominal Capacity: 702.83MB (79m 59s 74f / LBA: 359849)

I've had a 10-pack of Smart Buy discs from a CompUSA deal (they were free) that came up ProDisc. I haven't had any problems with them, but then again, there where only 10.

I picked up a spool this evening and it worked! :D

I took a print of the web deal with me and showed it to the sales drone when checking out. He went over to another computer to check the website himself. He came back and said someone made a mistake. At his point I thought to myself 'Damn, I'll have to take the free CD's instead' (That's the first time I've EVER said that!). Instead he told me to hang on and he'll find his manager and get a price adjustment. He came back rand me up and gave me both rebates that printed and printed two extra copied of the receipt for me. I must say he was an excellent sales associate!

The CC near me wouldn't match the web price, the reason is because it was O/S on the web. Would have been free A/R at the $25, But I have enough cheap cdr's that it only made sense if I made money.
