It doesn't matter that much either way, except for the imminent domain issues... Which should be enough for anyone to oppose it.
Isn't alot of the oil from Keystone going to be exported after being refined?
Regardless of where it is being used, wouldn't at the very least having the oil is refined using American labor be a good thing?
There was a study a decade or two back asking the Beltway press to self-identify its Presidential voting. If memory serves it was almost 90% Democrat; even the Greens had more support than did the Pubbies.
There is indeed not an eyeroll emoticon big enough to overcome reality.
If studying something for two years constitutes rushing in, we deserve to fail as a country. Just as a child who waits two years before opening his/her Halloween candy deserves to get sick from it
Anyone that has seen the many maps of how many pipelines are crossing over these stated aquifers and other areas across the US understands that your dribble is complete hysteria induced eco fear-mongering.
In the end this oil will make its way onto the market with either the US and US companies taking a cut or directly from Canada into China who will then use this oil for all sorts of industrial uses. The later gives added benefit to the US economy the former helps out China more then it will help us

But aren't we always told by Faux News that they are "Americas most watched news channel"?

This is going to be one of THE most fun elections I think I've ever experienced. There is sooo much information out there showing Obama to be not what he likes to portray himself as. His agenda is simple to understand for anyone willing to look and pay attention.
History books will in the future (assuming we're still allowed to have them) show this election to be a turning point. An Obama win will have this country going in a direction of certain failure. An Obama loss will just slow the process of course to another day and time. With a win, it will be interesting to have a ringside seat like we will. It won't be fun or pleasant, but it will take a few years to unfold. The fair and equal distribution of misery will commence posthaste!
Administrator IdontcareWhen did you go insane?
So my question is simple, do you actually believe what you just wrote?
This sort of goes into what I mentioned in a different thread. I've been wondering lately if the sense of political alienation that Americans feel has enabled people to feel free to hold manifestly insane political positions without consequence. Since they feel that politicians aren't listening to them, they don't feel any responsibility to behave in an adult, non-insane manner.
From there you get people saying that assuming history books haven't been banned by Obama's Kenyan Communist Thought Police, they will show that our country went down the path to certain failure because we re-elected a moderate liberal president.
Sometimes you guys make me feel sad for America. When did you go insane?
Of course what was barely reported in the US is Canada almost instantly went to China to sell them their oil that Obama turned down. I wonder how much ChiCom money got stashed into Obama's pocket for this deal?
Regardless of where it is being used, wouldn't at the very least having the oil is refined using American labor be a good thing?
So, wanting to protect American water resources is "fear-mongering".
Saying "Oh no, we can't let China get its hands on Canadian crude" is not?
Sounds logical
Sure, the Koch brothers definately could use the money. 😉

Koch Industries doesn't have any refineries or pipelines any where close to the KeystoneXL planned route.
actually the planners of keystone xl themselves have said they would rather let the studies happen but the repubs grabbed it and ran with it for political reasons. They said they wished the republicans didnt politicize the issue.
As expected, our usual resident ravers won't let anything like that interfere with the formulation of their opinions, obviously.
I agree, and said ravers usually shout "Koch Brothers" at every opportunity.

So whats the going rate for a pro-polluter agenda in Congress? Big Oils friends in the Houseamong them Speaker John Boehner have reaped over $12 million from the oil & gas industry in just the last 2 years. And according to OpenSecrets.org, the six senators behind the new Keystone bill have accepted more than $3 million in campaign contributions from the oil & gas industry.
So how many Democratic Senators joined with the Republicans on this? 10? 11? 12? Maybe just the ones that want a chance to be re-elected? Go ahead and ride this issue right into losing the Senate in 2012, i'd be a happy camper.
Fox News is America's most watched CABLE news channel; many more people get their news from network news and even the Daily Show. One day you might be able to understand the difference. But aren't we always told by Faux News that they are "Americas most watched news channel"?
You shills wear the victim cape so proudly...makes for good sound bytes I suppose..."but I repeat myself", lulz.
Brave, brave Sir Obama, protecting Keystone from itself by letting it die like its planners wanted.actually the planners of keystone xl themselves have said they would rather let the studies happen but the repubs grabbed it and ran with it for political reasons. They said they wished the republicans didnt politicize the issue.
