Major Vista Problem

On Window XP (I have both installed), I can use my NATIVE resolution of 1920x1080 and I have no problems at all.

When I switch over to Windows Vista and use my native, there is A Lot of material that stretches off the screen. i.e. I can't see my start button.

(It is a Samsung 40" LCD)

How do I fix it!?!!

Problem "not" solved. (by the way, drivers didn't matter. I had gone into the CP and told it to show non-standard resolutions.)

While I can use my correct resolution now, I can't use it in some games!!!

What is with this? It all worked fine in XP.
Can anyone help me, please?

LCD monitor or LCD TV?.. if its a monitor make sure its set at 60Hz and try updating inf driver for your monitor if possible(not normally needed).

When you say you can't use it in games you mean just that res(1920x1080)?...do remember not all games support 1920x1080 in gaming.
You might as well update your DX9.0c as well since you game link.

Is this an HDMI connection? Most digital TVs have overscan built in and seeing the entire desktop with an HDMI connection can sometimes be impossible with Vista/W7.

It's DVI (PC) to VGA (TV)
It's a TV, not a "monitor."

The game supports 1920, I used it on XP and on my old MONITOR, which was 1920x1200.

It comes down to this, I think:
XP works, Vista doesn't.
Why?

nvidia control panel in advanced mode has a overscan adjustment without having to force a resolution.
