major problems...outlook express won't let me delete messages

everytime i try to delete messages from my inbox i get this error:
Msimn has caused an error in DIRECTDB.DLL.
Msimn will now close.

IF you continue to experience problems, try restarting your computer.

how in the hell do i fix this?
i've tried restarting 1000 times. even turn comp off and let it rest for a bit but got nothing! ;(

any ideas folks?

Try downloading the dll file and replacing it.

how exactly would i do that.
microsoft has that terrible popup that downloads full programs.
just d/l then check temp setup files?
