Major Problem with Wheel Mouse Optical!

AngelDust

I'm using Logitech's Wheel Mouse Optical on WinXP Pro and the cursor keeps jumping to the Start button of Windows. This even happens when I'm playing games. I've unchecked Enable Smart Move in the Control Panel but it still keeps moving by itself non stop.

Any help?

Are you using the latest Mouseware drivers from their site? I never had any problems like that with my Logitech mice.

I recommend UNINSTALLING ANY Logitech software you have installed.

Logitech's MouseWare is known to be buggy. There is no reason to install it unless your mouse has some programmable buttons on it you would like to change the function of. Otherwise the standard Windows mouse control panel is just fine.

Really? I've never had a problem yet. But hey, can't hurt to try uninstalling them and going with Windows' generic driver.

I`ve never had any problems in the last 4 years with their drivers or even in gaming, anyway I would try reinstalling the drivers first and if that fails try what stevewm suggests. The drivers should work fine,I`ve them installed on 3 different systems.
