So, my long time friend posts on facebook that a lady she knows is cleaning out her garage and has some music gear to get rid of. Story is, she bought most of the stuff for her son last christmas, and he didn't touch any of it and it sat in the garage.

All in all I took it all for $440.

Too bad most of that stuff is garbage. Sell it.

I'm probably going to keep the Vox amp.. it's surprisingly loud for what it is, and sounds pretty good. It would be decent for an open mic situation where I can just put a mic up to it.

The halfstack I will probably sell. I don't really need it, and don't really have room for it. The bass guitar I might keep since it was only $15. The acoustic I will probably keep as well. Both the bass and acoustic just need new strings.

Sad that she bought a lot of that for her kid and he never used it. That's real sad actually :/ Back when I was in one of my first rock bands, I had a Marshall MG100. That thing sounded like garbage.

this one is the HDFX... I turned it on for a few minutes last night and it sounded pretty good.

Nice score! If you're a beginner, keep and learn. If not, sell them and get something nice that will last.

Just my .02.
