Major Intel CPU price drop at Newegg!!

Within the last few minutes Newegg just slashed prices on Intel CPU's.

I just ordered a retail 2.8/800 P4 for $213. Earlier this morning the price was $256 and the lowest price on Pricewatch right now is $227.

Way to go Newegg!!

guess they arent producing the 2.4C as much as the 2.6C

is the 2.6C a better OC'er than the 2.8C?

2.4C's are being discontinued. And they're good overclockers, so they've been popular. Popular and limited quantities means a higher price.

Even some amd prices going down too. $364 for a Athlon 64 3200 which was $400 and up yesterday.

Wow, great prices.

I'm glad competition is keeping Intel on its toes. If Intel still had its monopoly, I'm sure we'd still be using 1GHz celerons and paying five hundred bucks for it.
