Major Hot update to Staples 160 GB Deal 6/8 - 6/14 PM to Outpost for credit!

Ok, i seen this over at fatwallet. I bought the Maxtor 160 GB Hard Drive when they had the $20 instant & $80 MIR. I seen the deal where people were calling in and PM'img to get OutPost's latest deal of $99 after MIR. YMMV as a lot of folks said it didn't work for them. I must have been lucky and got a clueless CSR.

Bought Drive ($199.99- $20 IR) = $179.99
Called in later with $30 off $150 coupon = $149.99
Had an $80 MIR = $69.99
Called in to PM Outpost site ($80 Credit on card ) = -$10.01

All I did was give them my order number and wanted to PM it with Outpost.com that has the same drive for $99. I said nothing about the outpost MIR. Beware the date you ordered your drive as there is a 14 day window to get in on this (ie: if you ordered on the 8th your hosed, the 9th you may, the 10th you should).

IMHO, it is always worth a try. When I asked about the rebate they said it is when you order and not when they ship.

did you guys get a rebate receipt with that? i got a shipping paper that said it was not an invoice but no receipt. What should i do?

Use that. Or you might have the option to print a receipt online via your account.

You use that paper. I called to verify and that is what I was told. You need to get them done soon though as I think the mail in date is the 29th or something like that.

I got in on this drive on the 26th(rebate said purchased before 6-27 and to be postmarked before 7-7). Outpost has changed the rebate again though and I need a copy of the form with my dates on it. Where can I get this form or am I screwed?
