Tried system restore to the earliest restore point to no avil still problems. So I tried to uninstall windows then reinstall it but when I was trying to reinstall windows I would get failures could not read CD so the file would not install after exiting and trying to start a new windows install I got this error ?\i386\biosinfo.inf code can not be loaded error code 32768 setup cannot continue? is there a way to update bio's without being in windows?

Sure, you can update it using a boot floppy or CD. If you point your browser to Asus' website they'll give you detailed instructions on how to flash using a floppy.

The problem you describe could be anything from a bad XP disk to a bad hardware. My first action would be to dowload Memtest86 or Memtest86+, both of which are available as a bootable floppy or CD image. Then double check your RAM settings: voltage and timings. If you didn't manually set your RAM timings, that could be the problem. nForce4 + 'AUTO' RAM settings in the BIOS don't always play nice. If you were to point your browser to the Mushkin support forum I'm sure you'd find lots of info on exactly what to set the RAM timings to in the BIOS. Run Memtest86 for at least a few hours, ANY errors means that there is a faulty component or the RAM voltages and/or timing are not correct.

Also, double check your temps and voltages in the BIOS and make sure they are within a safe range. Disable Cool and Quiet while you're at it.
