Major driver problems...help

I have an IWILL kk266 motherboard and an Elsa Gladiac GeForce II Mx and SB Live! value. I was using the latest SB driver and Elsa driver with the via 4in1 drivers; everything was working fine until I tried to get Monopoly Tycoons to work and they told me to put the latest nVidia drivers on for the graphics card. I did that and now my computer is totally screwed up. For one thing, it doesn't recognize the graphics card. Now it won't even start up properly after I attempted to remove some of the drivers to try a "fresh start". Does anybody have some suggestions for how I should proceed? Running Win98SE

Thanks!

what version of drivers did you use...did you get the ELSA specific drivers off ELSA's site or did you get the reference drivers from NVIDIA....

if you haven't tried the reference driver you might want to give it a try... my GLADIAC gives me probs on some games w/ the ELSA driver ... but no probs w/ the reference drivers...

try boot into safe mode... remove all the drivers for the VGA... reboot
install the default driver that u got when you bought the card... reboot... check if everything is working properly... install the newer drivers which u intend to use... reboot.. and test if everything is working...

hope that works... i know it's a hassle to do...but u got no other way to try and solve it you might just want to try it.. 🙂

I uninstalled all Elsa and Nvidia stuff and disable the Elsa adapter and restart. I then install the driver that came with the card and restart. It recognizes the card but then says the drivers aren't kosher and asks if I want to reinstall because it can't find the elsa*.cat file. I try to direct it to that file but it doesn't work. When I go to the Elsa site to try and download the proper driver, it is quite confusing. The card I have is Elsa Gladiac GeForce II MX. Any suggestions as to which driver I should download from their website to get things rolling again??

Thanks
