MAJOR COMPUTER HELP NEEDED, WINDOWS XP FAILOUR

oK, I GOT HOME today and i started my comp as usually, int he bottom taskbar, there was an icon from microsoft, i was downloading a update,,,,after i installed and rebotted, windows got messed up......liek the login screen comes and when i log in i get an error message...then nothing opens. i cant do anything,,,,not even 1 single thing.......i want to acrss system restore, buht he only thing which i can do it browse through firefox.......casue when u send ian error report, it opens up my firefox.....there is nothign i can do,...no icons....no satrt./.....safe mode does not work..............please hel me please.......

Because there's not a specific "religious nut" forum, unless you count P&N as that, in which case it needs to be named appropriately.
 
There isn't a religious forum.... there are however hardware and technical support forums.... thus that is why...

I think you mistakenly installed the "Drunken Frenchman Update." To remove, pile some sticks on your living room floor, lay gas soaked rag on top, light, and jump in.
 
F8 while at the Windows XP screen and try last known good configuration and or Safe Mode and un-install that last update.

i seriously hope you are ESL or elementary school age. there are other forums for this material, but honestly unless you clean up your writing you probably wont get any help

damn, you guys are harsh. he's just a young'in.

anyhow, you probably installed XP SP2, which from what i hear is utter crap. you can try to uninstall the service pack from safe mode, boot to last known good configuration, or swap the HD into another computer, pull out all the file syou want to save, then reformat.

if you have a windows xp cd, boot up on it, and install XP into another partition, then boot off it, swap files from original partition, and wipe out old partition.
