Main Memory Config

I see that the US Dell site is configuring the latest XPS 15 series ( middle and high end ) with 6GB main memory as default http://www.dell.com/us/p/xps-15/fs , and the UK Dell site has 4GB http://www1.euro.dell.com/uk/en/home/Dell-Laptops/xps-15/pd.aspx?refid=xps-15&s=dhs&cs=ukdhs1.
Can someone please explain if the 6GB is necessary or what ?

That depends on what you'll be doing with the laptop. More system memory generally allows you have more programs open & running simultaneously.

Thanks bamacre . Heaviest thing would be watching 1080p true HD videos with all the features , and high speed internet download simeltaneously .
