Buddy of mine is getting desperate. He wants to try one of those mail order birdes services. He showed me this one website and man, these russian girls are hot. he's not sure if he wants to go through with it yet, and i hope he knows what he's doing.

Anyone know anyone who has done it?

I think that whole thing is a con in some way, although I don't even have any anecdotal evidence to back that up - just a hunch.

A coworker of my dad ordered one, he ended up out his money & no bride.

I dunno which is worse, having to admit that you tried to get a mail order bride or that you were too stupid to not get scammed.

I think at that point I'd just cut my losses & keep quiet.

Of course that's probably what most do...

Your friend would be better off putting an ad in the companion wanted section of the local paper that way he can see her in the flesh before making any commitment. I friend of mine found his wife locally thru the paper and is quite contended.
