I dunno where to post this but....

I STILL haven't received my Outpost/Parago rebates for the IBM webcams. I was supposed to get 2 $50 MIR's. Parago is so retarded they say allow 10 weeks, I dunno how long it's been by now probably like 15 or 20 weeks, and then I learn that they are sending the checks in POSTCARD form. Your rebate checks will arrive in the form of a postcard. I've sent them about 2 or 3 emails in the past 3 weeks or so, and still no reply. Who has or has not gotten their rebates from these guys?

Mail-in rebates are crap. I always receive them, but it usually takes like 6 months, and I've totally forgot about it.

Well, it's actually pretty cool when you think about it... :) When you don't remember, it's like receiving free money.

I don't know if Parago has a number to call. They said 10 weeks. At like 13 weeks they told me that my checks were in the final stages of processing and were about to be mailed out. What a bunch of B$. That was like 3 weeks ago too I think. It pisses me off that a company can advertise mail-in-rebates in the Sunday ad, as if it's like a guarantee that you WILL get that money back. But as soon as they get the rebate forms, they treat them all as if they are not valid and the people will not get their money. Only after lots of bitching, phone calls, emails, rants, etcetera do people get their rebate forms moved from the "DO NOT SEND $" pile to the "SLOWLY PROCESS and SEND $" pile. If they can advertise in the Sunday paper, why the fsck should people need to make trouble just to get the $ back that they were sort-of promised at the time of purchase. I shouldn't have to do SQUAT and that pisses me off.

BOO!
