Mail filters in Thunderbird

I've tried to get mail filters working in TB w/o success. all my mail just sits in the inbox. Is there some trick to designating the inbox. or locating the folders, or something? PLEH is HELP spelled backwards...

They work fine for me. Take a screenshot of a filter or something.
