If I dropped a letter into the mail box yesterday, and it got picked up today @2:30PM, how many days should it take till it gets delivered to ZIP code 76182 (Texas). I am mailing it from Cleveland, OH. I am guessing 2-3 days, but I am pulling that straight out of my @ss, so does anyone have an educated guess?

EDIT: After he gets it I'll be getting one of these (except with the partially serrated blade) shipped back to me via Priority Mail. How long is that going to take to get back (assuming he ships the same day he gets it).

2-3 days sounds about right to me. Thats about how long it takes a letter from california to get to me in new york (3-4 actually, so 2-3 sounds good for the distance involved)

My dad used to be a rural mail carrier and it would take two to three days for a letter to reach a city in another state.

Well, there is still a chance I'll be going on a road trip to Columbus to party with my friends...

Letters that are typwritten on the address field will usually arrive sooner to a given destination than priority mail. This is because USPS has huge machines that optically read typewritten lettered mail and sort it instantly. Priority mail, however, must all be hand sorted, including those priority envelopes. Hand sorting leads to all kinds of potential delays and misrouting.

many cbus bars have had cheap or free rounds of drinks everytime ohio state scores on michigan. might be worth looking into, you could get quite hammered based off of the free drinks you will be gulping down as the buckeyes rape michigan :-D
