maids

back in my day maids lived by a code of honor, they knew what was theirs and they knew what wasn't. now they play the game of deception and sabotage, they hit you where it hurts, and by the time you figure this out, its to late.

has anyone gone through the same trials and tribulations as me?

the damage has been done, but just so that i can prove it, i have set up piles of worthless, yet appealing discs to their eyes around my house. i have also put a no limpe (do not clean hear) sign on doors. yet i doubt either will do anything. what would you suggest.

If by your day you mean yesterday and by maids you mean Richard Simmons and by deception you mean anal sex, then no.

if they are illegal you can make them do all sorts of fun stuff and they are powerless to argue.

I think you must have hired ex-cons, not maids if you have these kinds of problems.

Fixed.

We've never had a maid in our family and never will.

I clean better than (most) of them anyways, and don't have to worry about theft...

Never had any experiences with maids. Me and my family always clean our own stuff.

Yea, learned to pick up after myself as a child, as long as I'm able bodied I'll keep doing that.

perhaps you should take an economics class, in which case you would understand why having maids can make financial sense.

Depends on what is more valuable to a person. Their time or their money.

Typically I choose my time over money. So if I could afford a maid, then I would have one.

As long as one values their own time over money and possessions and having things done to one's own sassifaction as only one can do them, then yes maids are an acceptable compromise.

We (meaning my parents) haven't had any theft, but they definitely are unreliable..not like our old housekeeper, who worked for us for 20+ years. This is not a one time cleaning crew type of thing..
