Maher new season tonight

Bill Maher returns from hiatus with his guests Chris Rock, Asa Hutchinson and Kellyanne Conway. Plus, via satellite, Paul Hackett and Phyllis Schlafly.

This week's Hot Topic: What constitutes a treasonous act these days?

I like the guy for the most part, but I like the guests he assembles even more. Always an interesting show and New Rules give me a laugh every time.

Edit: oh, 11pm-12 EST

Yeah, it's HBO. I used to watch him, but he just kept getting on my nerves. He just seemed to be getting too much into conspiracy theory on just about everything. His guests can be interesting though.

Hackett was good. I like the guy. Look for him in the future. I had to turn it off when the panel came out, when there is a comedian on the panel, it turns into a one-liner fest.

Nice trolling in this thread

anyway, the Daily Show is a nice leftist show, whats the need for this. to be honest, I watch the Daily Show a lot and have been watching it for quite some time. i appreciate that Jon Stewart brings guests from the other side of the political spectrum

Daily Show >>>>>>>>>>>>> Maher

its the only tv news show i have watched in recent months

He's good. But these shows never really seem to come to a conclusion of the topic or solve any problem. Like religion discussion or abortion, everyone talks yells screams but no one has the winning words.

that is why radio is much better when it comes to serious discussion about world events. tv offers a few minutes of debate that really doesn't solve anything, there is no insight and little focus

but pbs does some great documenteries with the bbc. i saw the one where a Albanian from Brooklyn, if I'm not mistaken, buys a large amount of arms and ships them to Albania in the ongoing fight ... i don't know, but i caught that show late, it was awesome however

radio, pbs and some others do a good job at seriously covering issues that are affecting us
