Nice sub :) That should take care of the rat problem!

That's not mine actually, but the rats seem to love mine :p

Haha, nice man. Are those hardwood floors under the carpeting? If so, that should make the bass that much more thumpier.

Not sure about that, Just moved in here in August and haven't messed with the carpet at all.

Whatever is under the carpet, the sub has one of these between it and the carpet.

BEWARE OF SUPERMAGNETS!!!! AHHHHHHH ::sucked into supermagnet speaker vortex::
Hahaha... I know, I'm getting paranoid now, eh? Hey, it's a new build so I have to protect my 'baby'.

Btw, how does one join the Anti-SUV Brigade? (or FUV as I call them :) )
As an aside, I'm willing to bet that:

B. Your case, aluminum or steel, will work as a faraday cage

C. Hard drives, which are encased in really, really thick aluminum, have plenty of sheilding of their own, and
AFAIK, Faraday cages do nothing for static magnetic fields like those produced by a driver magnet, nor do non-ferromagnetic materials (to any significant extent).
