For those who like to call and talk to CSR's, thus spilling the beans.. I think I shoud let you all know that if you call the # in my previous post, you can get info on your order through the automated service. I just tried it and it worked great. So, instead of calling a CSR you should call the automated line. Just a heads up... btw, my order for the CD will ship in 6-7 days (something like that) and the radar detector "will be shipped directly from the manufacturer in 4-6 weeks."

drop ship usually means they don't have it in their own warehouses. It comes straight from the manufacturer or another big warehouse conglomerate. IE they never physically touch your box (they being shopnbc)

I went to the website to view my account for this, and it shows that I was being charged for $99 for the DVD player. I think what this doesn't show is the applied discounts. My credit card shows a pending charge of 24.99 which is good so far. Let's hope it stays that way.

From following here and some other sites I would have to say it is dead now. I tried a couple codes I got from ppl and other sites and it was no-go for me.

Everyone who did get in: I hope you get the deal but keep and eye on your statements. Thats a sh*tty dvd player for $100.

:)

retail on this model is like $60 so ouch if we get burned. it can play vcds and there are hacks available. seems to only be able to read cdrw green memorexes and not cdr disks.

check out http://www.vcdhelp.com/dvdlist/dvdplayers.html and scroll down and find this model for more info.
also www.vcdhelp.com is a good site for vcd newbies.

This deal is dead. Stop asking for coupons.

LOL. This coupon 'error' is no mistake...it also happened on previous occasions and again as recently as 3 days ago. It's a scam by Sh*ttyNBC to get your personal info. 99% sure that 100% of these orders will be cancelled. I'll just quote my message from 3 days ago:

"Sorry if anyone got their hopes up, but this isn't the first time NBC has pulled this EXACT stunt...a few months back they had a $15 off $15, which was switched to $15 off a higher amount. At that time, they said they would honor orders that went through before the switch, but my order was cancelled after a couple of WEEKS. I was told I could re-establish the order, which I did, and they again did not process it. After getting the runaround repeatedly, I never did get a thing from them, my order was finally cancelled again, and I asked them to remove my information from their database - they assured my that was done. A few weeks ago, I got Christmas junk snail-mail from shopnbc. These a$$holes are just looking to add names to their mailing list, and playing the bait 'n switch game. NBC has always sucked, and will always suck."

Dunno about you people, but I'm never giving them my information again.

Just out of curiosity.... Why is posting of codes not allowed here? I see some of the other sites allow it. When there is a hot deal to be had ATers have to go search another site for codes.

Is there a good reason for this?

Thanks

kind of ironic isn't it lunchm3at?

AT allows you to post direct links to the coupons, but not the coupons themselves (or the #'s). I suppose they don't want people to abuse the coupons so they don't allow them to be posted here. However, they allow people to post potentially abusive threads like this one without a problem... I don't see the logic in it either
