In case you haven't heard about it, have a look here (warning, movie). Where can I learn more about this stuff and , more importantly, where can I get some?

edit: I am well aware that you can buy itty bitty finger sized capsules of Magic sand from certain toy stores, Im looking for Multi kilogram industrial purpose material which you can actually DO something with.

Magic Sand is available in some toy stores and can be ordered from Flinn Scientific (800/452-1261) and Educational Innovations (888/912-7474). Students can make homemadeMagic Sand by spraying dry sand with ScotchGard and allowing it to dry overnight (1). To ensure consistent results in this Activity, commercial Magic Sand is recommended.

I had this when I was a kid (a long time ago) so it's not a recent invention.

It's pretty fun stuff - although after a while it would "wear out" and stop working. I think it was through contact with the oil of my skin... but I'm not sure.

Yeah, I had this when I was a kid too, that's why I want it again :D

I believe you are correct about oil killing it, they mention that on one of the pages I was reading about doing experiments with it.

Do it quick. Scotch Guard is going off the market because someone has decided it is environmentally unfriendly.
