Just sitting here watching the magic bullet commercial...it looks like it does everything. Anyone have one or know about them? Good product or just TV trash? Advice/Opinions appriciated...

If I was going to spend $100 on a blender, I could get one with a much less stupid name.

Don't do it. Can almost guarantee you won't use it as much as they say. I've honestly watched that infomercial about 20 times (they make everything look so easy and yummy).

Ya I never bought anything off an infomercial...thus my reluctance towards this thing...but as for using it, I dunno, I love shakes and fruit blends etc, make cream of <type> soup etc, and the juicer I have at home is a b*tch to clean. Just wondering if it really works good and it's quality?

LOL- My wife has a catalog from one of those "toy" parties and they have a small silver pellet vibrator called the "Magic Bullet" :D

I got a powerchopper for $20 - 20% coupon = $16 at Bed, Bath and Beyond, it's identical to the Magic Bullet as far as I can tell other than it comes with fewer storage containers. My girlfriend uses it all the time to make some kind of iced coffee drink (she uses the mini blender container that it came with). Yeah, it works pretty well for $16.

Edit: You can also get the Magic Bullet itself in Target for $60 if you really want that brand with all the extra useless stuff they give you :)

I cringe every time they make an omelet using liquified cheese+veggies

ugggh

how often would someone make "custom" smoothies? It's more like: "I'm making blackberry smoothies... who wants one?"
Imagine making margaritas for 4+ people.... one at a time. No way!!
Even if you were to make custom smoothies, it only takes about 30 seconds to rinse out a real blender.

buy a real blender instead. bed bath + beyond often have 20%-off coupons in the sunday paper.
need a chopper? buy a chopper. ~$10-15

I live in Canada so for me that Magic Bullet would come out to 200 + after customs etc...so It looks like I won't be buying it either way...too expensive...thx for the suggestions though.
