I imagine these scenarios, because I'm frustrated and unhappy about a Criminal in the White House. I can't do anything. Nobody can do anything, unless they want to step over that "nothing to lose" line.

I don't have trouble with money. I can buy all the eggs I want. Today, I'm freezing a gallon or two of Ratatouille. I can get any carry-out I want. I save money to my savings account every month.

But I cannot stand living in a country run by a brainless lunatic and criminal. I can't go anywhere else. There must be a lot of us who feel this way.

Trump promised to lower grocery prices. Prices are up 6.6% since he took office. Maybe that's just my TDS
My preferred coffee, not only did it lose some weight, it also went from 10 dollars a can to 17 dollars even with the increased can size to make it look larger, and the weight lost of almost 2 oz. But I am rural and Dollar General is a shit company.

Depending on your budget and coffee preferences, you could always turn to mail order roasters.

I assume it's the poor rural tax plus it's Columbian, never cared for the breakfast or regular roasts. Prefer MWH over Folgers.

I see. I'm a bit of a coffee snob, so I just mail order my whole beans. Not the cheapest, but generally cheaper than the equivalent quality beans at the grocery store.

-Fell in love with New Mexico Coffee's pinion coffee while we were there.

Now it's the staple coffee of the house wife just mail orders a bunch of two pound bags every 6 months or so.

Cheaper and tastier than any equivalent coffee in the coffee aisle at the local market.

Wegmans brand coffee went from 34¢/oz to 37¢/oz when buying their largest container(which shrank to maintain a close shelf price). Their "Traditional" is my every day coffee. Kind of a 'donut shop lite' flavor. I'll be getting more tomorrow, but it's going into storage. It'll be awhile before I know if the recipe changed with the label. A new supplier and quality reduction is always on the table :^/

I've been using FreshRoastedCoffee.com for about a decade now, maybe a little longer. Prices are decent with the regular promotions (comparable or better than what's available at the grocery store for equivalent quality), good selection of single-origin and blends, and the coffee tastes pretty good to me.

I picked up 20 boxes of Lipton Tea when it was on sale.. so I'm good for a while!

The coffee I drink is up about 10% in price for every day stuff, 30% for the Tanzanian peaberry I like. We shop at Aldi a lot, and many things there have gone up quite a bit, such as chocolate and other things from Europe. I can tell you whatever the tariff war is doing, we ain't winning.

Chocolate here is up 25% since beginning of year
There is a disease of cocao trees in Ghana and the Ivory Coast which has a drastic impact on production. Those two countries did produce about 60% of the world's cocao beans. I was in Ghana last summer and the news reports there were forecasting a 90% drop in production.

The fact that our chocolate costs haven't escalated much more is probably because of all the sugar and other stuff we put in our chocolate. Ghanaian chocolate tastes a lot different than ours-nowhere near as sweet, and it probably also has different stabilizers because it is so hot there.

This is one problem His Donaldship didn't cause, but him slapping tariffs on Ghana's exports to the US are just making a bad situation worse-I doubt we have any cocao production in the US.

Only thing I've seen that really dropped was Egglands Best, went from $7.10, 18ct to $ 5.70 at Winco. The Kraft qt olive oil Mayo also dropped about a $1 also. (eggs)
Beef isn't going anywhere but sideways at best.

I was unfortunate enough to fall in love with Hawaiian coffee while we were on the big island. Getting that stuff shipped is brutal.

The syphilitic orange menace claimed Dems are lying/incorrect about inflation/prices , gas, etc.

"He wrongly claimed that gas was selling Tuesday for below $2 a gallon “in five different states” (it was actually zero states); that prices are “all down” (consumer prices are up under Trump); that Democrats are lying when they say prices are up (these Democrats are correct); that grocery prices “are down” (they are up under Trump); and that core inflation is “below 2%” (it’s 2.9%, per the Consumer Price Index)."

But eggs are down some. 💩🤡

The guy I was following on mastodon that posted grocery prices quit back in March. Probably burned out cause the prices were fairly static, and he was posting an update every day. Should've done it once a week. I wish he'd get back on board. It would be interesting seeing the change in a fixed assortment of groceries. I checked wegmans to see if I could do it myself, but you have to sign up to create a cart, and I'm not signing up for stuff like that. Too much of a PITA to do it manually.
