Thanks lol. I didn’t want to type a similar response up that should be self explanatory by now, and then him not get it anyways lol

I actually typed it up because I want people who just come here to read our posts and not contribute to the discussion to understand the exact difference between the 2 types of violence we are talking about.

I never expected him/her to reply or even acknowledge my post because I see him/her as having the IQ of a turnip and can't understand nuance or are just a troll and is doing this for the shits and giggles.

So many fine words wasted on a person that has the intellect of a peanut.

LOL, I wouldn't exactly call my words fine I try to use as simple words as I can so that even the not so smart among us (aka turnips) can grasp what I am talking about.

I’ll wait for the investigation results.

“We are still investigating what led up to the assault with the sword or edged weapon,” Officer Robert Rueca, a police spokesman, said Sunday. “We know the suspect was wearing the hat. During the incident the hat came off of the suspect. The suspect and the weapon remain outstanding.

“I can’t speak to the discrepancy in the information,” Rueca said. “There was a lot of information being put out there that we were still looking to confirm so that may have led to the confusion.”

The red MAGA hat, which has become a universally known accessory for supporters of President Trump, was left on the sidewalk near a pool of blood. Police said the victim had tried to grab the hat when the wearer pulled out his sword and slashed the victim in the hand.

Investigators have spoken with eyewitnesses and are looking for video surveillance footage, Rueca said.

Scott Sweeney, 24, said he and his girlfriend were leaving a liquor store across the street from the rink about half an hour before the attack when the man in the hat came up to them and shouted homophobic slurs.

Sweeney said it seemed like the man was “nervously trying to figure out what to do” and had a large sword tucked into a sheath in the back of his jacket. Sweeney said he didn’t take the weapon seriously at first.

All murders are tragic. However, when a politician inspires violence, that's an even greater problem -- a free, democratic society should not have a leader that practically encourages violence and bigotry.

Let me explain the difference between you and I. You, when you hear of the sword attacks in SF, or some right wing wacko kills or hurts poeple. youre reponse is "TEH RIGHT IS VIOLENT!!!onewoneone" Me? I care about the victims. For example, more than 60 kids 15 and younger have been killed in Chicago alone this year. SIXTY. Kids whose lives havent even started. Yet you'd rather focus on OMGEZ TRUMP SUPPORTERS ARE VIOLENTS!!!!oneoneone" When in reality, the problem isnt Trump supporters. Thats a small problem compared to gang violence.

But hey. Dont let me detract from your Trump rage. Especially when theres no surge in right wing violence.

In other words, fewer homicides were committed by political terrorists of any stripe in the United States in 2017 than were committed by undocumented immigrants in the state of Texas alone -- which, I am assured, is an incredibly low number that shouldn't worry us very much. If one of these "surges" is scaremongering, why not the other?

more political violence is done by your side. you cant escape that.

As Ive already said, OK? Does that make you feel better? Or right?

And "my side"? Im not aware of much violence coming fromt he middle. Its mostly the wackos on the far left or the far right. So what do you mean?

So what's the point?

whats your point? this thread has just been you meandering around the point tossing out a bunch of whataboutism until here we are with you agreeing but then saying whats the point. Like your dumb brain still cant get close enough to reality to understand the point.

You do know it's possible to care about more than one thing at a time, right? I care about the victims; I also care about how that violence came to be. And I don't want to see a country where the President inspires hate crimes -- and despite your cowardly denials, that's happening.

Also, not surprising that your 'evidence' is an op-ed from the editor of a hyper-partisan conservative site known for its misleading articles. Facts? Reality? Pshaw, why have those when you can have a conservative hack tell you what you want to hear? For goodness' sake, the Christchurch shooter specifically cited Trump's support for a "renewed white identity" as a contributing factor. This very thread started with someone who was wearing a MAGA cap. You're not interested in the truth, you're just trying to avoid feeling guilty for your political allegiances.

So? Do they not have the right to vote also? I'm sure it pains you to think a KKK members vote carries the same weight as yours. I won't support their their views but I support their rights under the Constitution same as I would anyone else. As should you.

I never said they shouldn't have the right to vote. I merely responded to BB's assertion that gang bangers vote democrat.

You're right. I derailed the thread. My apologies.

"terrorist" is the most misunderstood and misinterpreted words ever presented.

If someone shoots up a school and someone shoots up a nightclub for no apparent reason, which one is a terrorist?

The answer is who gives a fuck what you call it.

It actually matters because the law treats it differently, whether or not you give a fuck.

Picture is almost perfectly staged.

Most of the news articles I have seen so far are using the "staged" picture from the Miles guy. If they don't have the full staged picture then they zoom in on the MAGA hat in that picture and use it. A few are using the Sweeney picture that shows the MAGA hat and the blood side-by-side. I don't believe the hat was staged at the scene but it's obvious that the Miles guy took a close up and low shot of the hat and the blood so you could read the MAGA on the hat. I hope they can get DNA (hair, sweat, oil...) from the perp''s hat to track him down. Reading all of the articles out there is confusing but it seems to go something like this:

- MAGA hat guy walking around near a LGBTQ+ friendly skating rink acting strange and hurling homophobic slurs at the presumably LGBTQ+ folks in the area.
- Victim walks up to MAGA hat guy and get's into argument with him about his actions.
- Victim knocks MAGA hat off perp's head.
- Perp whips out sword and cuts the victim's hand/arm then runs away without his hat.

Where's a video when you need it.
