Saw this from local BB for $299 - $70 rebate = $230 last week. Next week it's getting even better. Looks really good, but kind of small.

Update: Just got back from BB, it's only $50 rebate this week, not like $100 rebate they told me. Sorry for the wrong info.

Thanks! I'm building my mom a little rig this fall and this would be great for her.

how easy are these things to take apart?
I want to mount an LCD on a case that I'm building to be extremely portable so that I don't need to lug a monitor around - has anyone ever taken one of these apart?

radioactiveman: My Samsung 570V has a VESA-standard mount. There are third-party wall-mount and desk-mount swing arms and brackets available. If the MAG conforms to the standard, buying a VESA bracket might be the slickest way to go.

That would be cool to just have your monitor right on the side of your case, like modded in as a window.

Tempting to try...

I'm with cleek. I don't see it in the ad and online it shows $299 and a $50 rebate. Any more info?

This monitor is listed at $299.99 before $50 rebate at the BestBuy website, so the deal is on? Here is a link.

Pretty good deal although I'd recommend waiting for Dell to get a %15 off S&P and spend a little more for a 15".

Yeah, but it looks like this deal fell through... I'm actually gonna use a horizontal case and try to attach the keyboard to the case as well, so that the LCD, keyboard and mouse pad will all sit on top of the case. I'll let you know if I ever get it done :)

I just received one of these from Bestbuy the other day. the stand for the monitor snaps right off. You can literally install or remove just the display on the stand in less than 3 seconds. This is the only VESA display I have seen where you can remove the display from the stand without using screws.
